Dan W Petersen is a native of Denmark and has always had an interest in creative wood design. 

​

With a background in auto mechanics and working experience in window and door manufacturing from an early age, Dan approaches each project with the eye of an engineer. 

 

In 2000, Dan began the challenge of learning the art and science of formulating finish coatings while working with a large, internationally known manufacturer. 

 

In an effort to gain control of his creative time, Dan started Heritage Wood Finish in 2014.

Artist Statement:

“In order to push myself, I always try to design something that is extremely difficult and then challenge myself with finding the solutions that will make it come to life. 

This way everything is custom and always one of a kind. 

I make every effort to stretch the limitations of what can be done with a natural product like wood.

 

My greatest joy is to see client’s awe when we deliver a project”
